Ouida L. (Lanford) Presti 94, of Franklin, died Sunday August 30, 2015 at the Maples Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Wrentham, following an illness. She was the wife of the late John C. Presti who died in 1991 and Milton L. Wiley who died in 1966. Born in Woodruff, South Carolina on February 23, 1921 a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Susan I. (Cannon) Lanford, she was a former resident of South Carolina before moving to Franklin in 1986. She was raised and educated in Woodruff, South Carolina, where she was a graduate of Woodruff High School Class of 1938, and continued her education at Spartan Jr. College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She worked as a telephone operator for Southern Bell Telephone Company and the McGill Box Company in Plainville until her retirement. Ouida loved knitting, sewing, and playing the piano for the residents at the Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church and the Friends of Franklin Seniors. She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan E. Calomo of Gloucester and Carol M. Saster of Franklin, a sister Wilda Trout of Georgia, 3 grandchildren, Michael Leavitt and his wife Nancy, Lisa Saster, Stephanie Briggs and her husband Christopher and 3 great grandchildren, Madison Leavitt, Taylor and Ryan Briggs. Also surviving are 2 son-in-laws, Sam Calomo and Fred Saster, Jr. She was the sister of the late Jeanette Morris. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday September 4th, at 10AM in the Franklin United Methodist Church 82 West Central St. RT 140, Franklin. Interment will follow at Union Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday Sept. 3rd at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 5-8PM.
