Patricia A. (Stoico) Genoa, 67, a Milford native and lifelong town resident, died peacefully Friday, September 19, 2014 at Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston following an illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Genoa, Jr. for 43 years. Born in Milford, March 21, 1947 a daughter of the late Michael J. and Stella (Sanacandro) Stoico, she was raised and educated in Milford, and graduated St. Marys High School in 1965. Until her retirement, Mrs. Genoa worked as the director for the housing authority in Hopkinton and Northbridge. She was a member of the National Association of Housing Authorities, and enjoyed sewing, painting, speed reading, and sang in 3 octave range. Survivors in addition to her husband include her son, Joseph J. Genoa III, and his wife Stephanie of Pawtucket, a brother Paul Stoico of Franklin, and many friends. Relatives and friends were invited to attend her funeral Wednesday, Sept. 24th, at 9:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, with a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, 1 Church Sq., Franklin at 10 AM. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery. Calling hours was on Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 4 - 8 PM. Donations in her memory may be sent to the Friends of Franklin, 50 Corbin St., Franklin, MA 02038.
