Paul J. Molloy 73, of Franklin, died peacefully, Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the Newton-Wellesley Alzheimers Care Center, following a long period of failing health. He was the husband of Phyllis E. (Heinrich) Molloy. Born in Boston, June 15, 1941 a son of the late Philip and Julia (McCarthy) Molloy, he was raised in Roslindale, and graduated Brighton High School in 1959. He worked for many years for General Motors as the parts manager at the former Westwood facility. Paul was a life member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, a former member of the Knights of Columbus, and his hobbies and interests included camping, fishing, hunting and his grandchildren. He was also a former town councilman in Franklin. Surviving in addition to his wife of 52 years are his son, Paul J. PJ Molloy, Jr. and his wife Arleen of Bellingham, 2 daughters, Colleen Johnson and her husband Eric of Townsend, Maureen Guiliani and her husband Peter of Mendon, a brother Robert Molloy of Daytona Beach, FL, a sister Joan Lesha of Rockland, and 4 grandchildren; Karianne, Kayla, Ryan and Casey. He is also the brother of the late Dr. Philip J. Molloy and Jean Terry Pagliuca. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Tuesday Sept. 16th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM. Interment will follow at the family lot in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Calling hours are Monday 4-9PM. The Franklin Lodge of Elks will conduct a Lodge of Sorrows Service at the funeral home at 7PM.
