Phyllis A. (Orifice) Rutkowski 68, of Franklin, died peacefully, with family by her side, Friday July 31, 2015 at her home, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of Ronald A. Rutkowski, Sr. Born in Waltham, September 9, 1946 a daughter of the late Philip and Geraldine (Gatti) Orifice, she was a former resident of Framingham, before moving to Franklin in 1987. She was raised and educated in Waltham, and graduated Waltham High School in 1965, she then attended Waltham Hospitals School of Nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for the hospital for many years before taking a position at Bethany Health Care in Framingham and after 40 years of nursing, she retired from St. Elizabeths in Newton. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, who treasured time spent with her family. She also enjoyed camping, cooking, sewing and yard sales. In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her children; Ronald A. Rutkowski, Jr. and his wife Jodi of Franklin, Michael P. Rutkowski and his wife Andrea of Hopedale, Rhonda A. Rutkowski of Milford, and Lisa M. Mucciarone and her husband Matthew of Franklin, a brother Philip Orifice of Fitchburg, 3 sisters, Geraldine Krochewsky and her husband Gus of Franklin, Donna Foley of Lexington and Marie DiCarlo and her husband Flavio of Natick. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Justin Durant and his wife Beth of Franklin, Alyssa Rutkowski, Samantha Rutkowski, Alfred Mucciarone, Austin Mucciarone, Lane Rutkowski, Michael Rutkowski, Nathan Rutkowski, a great grandchild, Riley Durant and many nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday Aug. 7th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Thurs. from 4-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Cousins Against Cancer 8 Spruce Pond Rd.
