Ralph A. Padula, 73, a lifelong town resident, died peacefully, at his home on Tuesday June 17, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth C. (Bigelow) Padula for 31 years. Born in Franklin, April 30, 1941 a son of the late Frank and Angelina (Tancredi) Padula, he was raised and educated in Franklin. Ralph was a retired farmer; he operated the former Padula's Farm a family owned farm in Franklin. Ralph loved fishing, had a dry sense of humor, was known as "Mr. Fix It" and enjoyed furniture repair. Surviving in addition to his wife is a stepson, Christopher Nordstrom of Norfolk, a nephew Michael Padula and his wife Nancy and their daughter Mia of Franklin, 1 brother Frank Padula of Sarasota, FL, 2 sisters Mary Hession of Odenton, MD, and Margherita Rimmer of Jacksonville, FL, and many additional nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Friday June 20th, at 10AM in St. Mary's Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
