Rita M. Padula Obituary
Rita M. (Caron) Padula 78, died Monday May 23, 2011 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the wife of Anthony J. Padula and the late James C. Harding who died in 1979. Born in Jaffrey, New Hampshire April 3, 1933 a daughter of the late Alphonse and Rose (Christian) Caron, she had been a resident of Franklin for over 15 years, and was a former longtime resident of Norwood. She was raised and educated in Saco, Maine, and for many years she worked as a chef in the cafeteria for the Analog Devices Company. She was also a dedicated mother, who worked tirelessly raising her family. Mrs. Padula was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, the Franklin United Methodist Church; she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and was active at the Central Park Terrace Housing Authority. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; James C. Harding, Jr. of North Attleboro, Lois Nelson of Darlington, RI, Richard Harding and his wife Eileen of Rochester, MA, Nancy Missett and her husband Jack of Largo, Fla, Robert Harding and his wife Karen of Taunton, Joan Puzin and her husband Carl of Walpole, June Flynn and her husband Jerry of London, OH and Anne Ubertini and her husband Ron of Lenox, MA. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday May 27th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a service in the Franklin United Methodist Church 82 West Central St. RT.140, at 10AM. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory sent to the 5 Manley St. West Bridgewater, MA 02379 would be appreciated.
