Robert W. Bossa 68, of Franklin, died peacefully, with his family at his side Sunday October 19, 2014 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Sherry J. (Caldwell) Bossa. Born December 28, 1945 in Brockton, a son of the late Howard and Helen (Barry) Bossa, he was a Brockton resident for many years before moving to Franklin 31 years ago. He was raised and educated in Brockton, where he was a 1963 graduate of Brockton High School, and was working as a fire alarm technician for the Cintas Corporation. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of ETR3; he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in October 1969. Bob was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending all of his time with them, especially his grandchildren; he also enjoyed the Brockton Boxers, NASCAR and traveling to Montana. In addition to his wife of 25 years, he is survived by his children, Robert W. Bossa and his wife Madonna of Chesapeake, Virginia, Karie L. Bossa of Attleboro, Jaime L. Eidswick of Milford and Erik D. Helmuth and his wife Ali of Holden, 2 brothers, Thomas Bossa of Florida, Wayne Bossa of Massachusetts and a sister Elaine Sweetman of West Bridgewater and his cherished grandchildren, Lorelai & Brady Eidswick, Cameron & Decker Helmuth and Casey & Samantha Landry. He also leaves his dog, Aspen. He was the brother of the late Barry Bossa and Patricia Helmuth. A Celebration of Life Service will be held privately.
