Rose A. Velluti Obituary
Rose A. (Legge) Velluti 87, of Franklin, died peacefully Tuesday September 16, 2014 at the Milford Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Bernard "Nino" Velluti. Born November 11, 1926 in Milford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Legge, she was a resident of Franklin for 65 years. Rose was raised and educated in Milford, and worked for the Assessor's office at Franklin Town Hall for many years. She also worked for the Charles River Pollution Control office in Medway before retiring in 1984. Rose enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod, dancing, sailing, sewing, watching movies and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Franklin. In addition to her husband of 66 years, she is survived by 2 sons; Bernard J. Velluti of Sylva, North Carolina and David A. Velluti and his wife Lisa of Franklin, a sister Yolanda Rice of Dennis, Mass and 3 granddaughters; Kathryn, Dana and Gina Velluti. She was the sister of the late Dominic "Doc" Legge, Antoinette Leoncini, Jennie Kearnan and Lena Genoa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday Sept. 22nd, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10AM. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Dana-Farber Brigham & Women's Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center 20 Prospect St. Milford, MA 01757.
