Obituary Condolences

Rudolph J. Rudy Patete, age 78, died December 9 unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep at home. Born in Franklin, January 12, 1935, the youngest child of the late Dominic and Elvira (DeLucchi) Patete, he was a lifelong Franklin resident. Mr. Patete attended local schools and was a communicant of St. Marys Church. Mr. Patete worked as a Supervisor at a local construction company and at Dean Colleges grounds and maintenance department. Mr. Patete proudly served in the Unites States Marine Corps from 1952-1955., attaining the rank of Corporal. Rudy loved animals, but in later years he lavished all his love and attention on his grandchildren. He is survived by his son John Patete and his wife Eileen (Erskine) Patete of Bellingham, He was the father of the late Ellen Patete. He was the brother of the late James Jimmy and Alexander Sandy Patete, Mrs. Stanley (Eleanor) Sharkowitz and Mrs. James (Mary) Anderson. He was also the former husband of the late Elaine (Rizoli) Patete. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Rudolph, Adeline, Alice and Bridget Patete of Bellingham and Adriana Kelly of New Hampshire. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 21 in St. Marys Church at 10:00. Interment of his cremated remains in the parish cemetery, with full military honors will be held at later date. Visitation will be on Saturday from 8:30-9:45 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin. In lieu of flowers, performing one or more random acts of kindness in his memory would be appreciated.
