Susan M. (Cornetta) Pauplis 51, of Franklin, died peacefully, Friday July 18, 2014 at the Tippett Home in Needham, following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Greg A. Pauplis and mother of Matthew G. Pauplis. Born April 24, 1963 in Norwood, a daughter of Richard R. Cornetta, Sr. and Priscilla T. (Lawton) Cornetta of Franklin, she was a lifelong Franklin resident. She was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a 1981 graduate of Franklin High School, and also attended St. Anselm College in New Hampshire, where she received a bachelor's of science degree in 1985. Susan was the former assistant manager for the Benjamin Franklin Bank. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who treasured spending time with people, and was always concerned about how other's were doing. She was an avid sports fan. She was the former president of the Parmenter School PCC, a religious education and Eucharistic minister for St. Mary's Church, Franklin, and a longtime volunteer for the Friends of Franklin. In addition to her husband of 14 years, her son and parents, she is survived her siblings; Richard R. Cornetta, Jr., and his companion Laura Enzian of Duxbury, Debra A. Jette and her husband John of Franklin, Peter F. Cornetta and his wife Ingrid of Franklin, and Anthony P. Cornetta of Franklin, her father in law John J. Pauplis of Wayland, her brother in laws and sister in laws; Steven T. Pauplis of Loveland, Colorado, Mark J. Pauplis and his wife Laura of Leicester, Eric J. Pauplis and his wife Karen of Sterling, Neil R. Pauplis of Wayland and Karl J. Pauplis and his wife Edilizette of Creedmoor, North Carolina, her nieces and nephews, Samantha, Caroline & Jacob Jette, Alexa, Madelyn & Tyler Cornetta, Joseph Pauplis, Michael, Connor, Jilian Pauplis, Lukas & Thomas Pauplis, and many extended family, friends, doctors and caregivers. She was the daughter in law of the late Irene A. (McGee) Pauplis and sister in law of the late Christine Pauplis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday July 23rd, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10AM. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
