Theresa (Coyle) Kennedy of Franklin, formerly of Braintree and Plymouth, 83, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday, Aug 2, 2010. Born on Sept. 20, 1926, in Boston daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Coyle, Theresa grew up in Dorchester. She married her late husband Clyde (John) Kennedy in 1948 and they lived in Dorchester until 1976, when they moved to Braintree. She retired and moved to Florida with her husband in 1989. She moved back to Massachusetts in 1991 when her husband passed away and has lived here ever since. She worked a variety of jobs in her life including as a secretary, waitress, and teacher's aide and monitor for special needs children. She will always be remembered for her generous spirit, love of sweets, and affinity for game shows. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was pre-deceased by her husband Clyde (John) Kennedy and her siblings Charles Coyle, Joseph Coyle, Marie Coyle, William Coyle, and Dorothy Coyle. She is survived by her siblings Sister Margaret Coyle SCH and Sister Agnes Catherine Coyle SCH of Wellesley, Helen Barker of Weymouth, and Robert Coyle of Florida. Survivors also include her children John Kennedy and his wife, Susan, of Florida, Karen Casey and her husband, Allen, of Virginia, Charles Kennedy and Jeanne Flanagan, of Plymouth, Clare Cinelli and her husband, Ronald, of Franklin, Lawrence Kennedy and his wife, Gabrielle, of Florida, and Joseph Kennedy and his wife, Sheena, of Florida. She was grandmother to 16 and great-grandmother to 15. A memorial Mass was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, at Mount St. Vincent Chapel, 125 Oakland St., Wellesley, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of Charity Retirement Center at the same address.
