Theresa M. D'Errico Obituary
Theresa M. (Giannetti) DErrico 96, of Wrentham, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Monday June 13, 2016 at the Pond Home, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Orlando F. Luns DErrico who died in 1986. Born December 4, 1919 in Lacedonia, a province of Avellino, Italy a daughter of the late Giovanni and Angelina Giannetti, she was a former longtime resident of Franklin, before moving to Wrentham, 15 years ago. She was raised and educated in Italy and came to America in 1933, settling in Natick. Theresa worked as a stitcher for the Whiting & Davis Company. Theresa was the center of the family; she was devoted to her children and their families. She enjoyed cooking for all of the family gatherings, watching movies, listening to Italian music, playing bingo and the accordion. She was a member of St. Marys Church, Franklin, the Quattro Eroi Lodge #1414 Franklin Sons of Italy and was a former member of the Catholic Womens Club. She is survived by her sons; Rocco J. DErrico and his wife Alessandrina of Bellingham, Robert S. DErrico and his wife June of Wrentham, Paul A. DErrico of Englewood, Colorado, Michael T. DErrico and his wife Stephanie of Tallahassee, Florida and Anthony J. DErrico and his wife Robin of Plymouth, a brother Louis Giannetti of Cleveland, Ohio, and a daughter-in-law Georgia DErrico of Sandwich. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John F. DErrico and sister of the late John & Michael Giannetti. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday June 18th, at 9:30AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Franklin at 11AM. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8PM & Saturday 9:30-10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Pond Home 289 East St. Wrentham, MA 02093.
