Vanessa Marie Cusson, 26, of Franklin, MA entered into eternal life, on October 5, 2014. Born in Natick, MA on November 13, 1987, she was the daughter of Marlene E. (Kosmenko) and Mark A. Cusson. Vanessa was raised in Franklin and attended Franklin Public Schools. She was a proud graduate of Franklin High School Class of 2006. As a young girl Vanessa enjoyed playing town recreational softball, cheerleading, dancing and traveling with her parents and grandparents. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and large circle of friends. She was fond of nature and enjoyed her times outdoors. Vanessa loved to go snowboarding at Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont and she loved to go for morning walks whether it be rain or shine. She had a kind and nurturing nature and was known to take care of and look out for her diverse group of friends. Vanessa was proud of being named a Senior Mentor at Spectrum Health Systems Young Adult Treatment Support Program in Westborough where a tree will be planted in honor of her leadership at Spectrum. Vanessa lost her life suddenly fighting a courageous battle against substance abuse. Vanessa was as beautiful inside as she was out. She was poised and intelligent. Her contagious beautiful smile and sparkling eyes warmed everyone she came in contact with. Her death will leave a huge void in many lives for years to come. In addition to her loving parents, Vanessa is survived by her grandparents Marion E. (Willis) and Alexander H. Kosmenko and Mary A. (Willinski) Cusson. Her sisters Jessica A. and Savanna M. Cusson, a brother Matthew A. Cusson, her niece Dezarae J. Cusson (her little munchkin) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was especially close to her cousin Mollie Fontenarosa. It gives the family great comfort to know that Vanessa was welcomed to Heaven by her loved ones.
