Prior to retirement, she worked in the Billing Department of the Rutgers University Medical School in New Jersey. Viola was an excellent seamstress. She and her husband enjoyed the theater, golfing and traveling in the U.S. particularly up and down the eastern seaboard, although they did get to Hawaii, Alaska and Australia.
