Virginia (Pasquale) D'Amelio, 94, a longtime Franklin resident, died Thursday June 16, 2014 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Samuel F. D'Amelio who died in 1973. Born in Salem, March 2, 1917 a daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Villanta) Pasquale, she was raised and educated in Woonsocket, and lived there until 1941 when she moved to Franklin. She was a member of the AARP, the Franklin Senior Citizens, and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She is survived by two sons: Raymond A. D'Amelio of Franklin, Robert J. D'Amelio of Watertown, a daughter Patrice Marie D'Amelio of Blackstone; two brothers; Albert Pasquale of Rhode Island, Frank Pasquale Jr. of the Philippines, a sister Emelia DeBaggis of Franklin; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also the sister of the late Rose Pasquale, and Josephine Des'Noyers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday at 9:45 a.m., from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Donations in her memory Sent to the Kennedy-Donovan Center 258 Main St. Milford, MA 01757 would be appreciated.
