Virginia T. Varjian., of Sun City Center, FL. passed away on Sept. 25, 2013. Virginia was the wife of Harry A. Varjian Sr., who passed away in 2007. Virginia was born January 9, 1918 in Providence, RI ., the daughter of Louise and Lyman Towne. The eldest of seven children she is predeceased by her sister Doris and brothers Charles, John, Claude and Jambert. A graduate of Franklin High School, she worked as a telephone operator before her marriage. Virginia was a resident of Franklin, MA for many years, was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church serving as a member of the altar guild and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. One of her many accomplishments was the number of rugs she hooked for family members over the years. Upon moving to Sun City Center, Florida she became an active member of St. John the Divine Church, serving as a member of the altar guild. Virginia became a lawn bowler, eventually earning a championship and was a valued instructor to many. Although she never realized her true dream of becoming a nurse, she was a valued member of the Sun City Center Emergency Response Squad for many years and she helped people all her life. She leaves her son David and wife Jeanne, her daughter Judith and husband Jeffrey Vennell and her son Gary. Virginia was predeceased by her son Harry, Jr. in 1992. Her Grandchildren, Jennifer, Jim, David, Chris, Jeffrey, Beth, Jimmy, Nicole, Brian, Kara and Aaron will miss their Nana. Zachary, Gabrielle, Julia, Charlotte, Michaela, Clara, Chelsea, Casey and Cameron, will remember Grandnana with love. Virginia is also survived by a sister Charlotte of Yuma, Arizona, Sister in-laws Maria Stevens, Helen Katziff and Rose Muggeridge and several great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Oct. 9, 1:00 PM, at St. John the Divine Ruskin, FL. and in Franklin, MA, Oct. 19th, 11 am, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Pleasant St. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 1015 Del Webb East, Sun City Center, Florida 33570 or to the Sun City Center Emergency Squad at 720 Ray Watson Dr, Sun City Center, FLA 33573
