Wori DiPlacido, 98, long-time Wrentham resident passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Pond Nursing Home in Wrentham, MA. He is survived by his son Thomas W. DiPlacido and wife Annamarie of Franklin, MA; his daughter Dini DiPlacido-Duclos of Renton, Washington; grandchildren Thomas W. DiPlacido Jr. and Jacqueline Robison, both of Wrentham; and six great-grandchildren: Anent, Matthew, Thomas, Samantha, Max, and Joseph, also of Wrentham. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ann Bassignani DiPlacido and also Ruth Ellsworth. Born in Italy on July 22, 1912, Wori moved to the United States in his teens. A successful businessman, he was an agent for North American Van Lines' world-wide network of moving companies for over 40 years. During this time, he both prided himself on and won numerous awards for his commitment to providing outstanding service. An active member of the community, Wori was a member of the Wrentham Lions Club and the Beagle Club and enjoyed spending time with friends at the Wrentham Senior Center. A kind, generous individual, Wad will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 9:00 am, at Saint Mary's Church in Wrentham, MA.
