Marie C. (Rossetti) Bassignani, 90, of Medway, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Albert P. Bassignani who died in 2008. Born in Milford on April 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Lena (Bergamini) Rossetti. Mrs. Bassignani was a lifelong resident of Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1945. Mrs. Bassignani was a homemaker for most of her life. She is also survived by her daughter Mary Ellen Bassignani of Medway, three sons, Albert, Jr. of Franklin, Peter of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and John Bassignani of New York and two grandchildren, Ashley Bassignani of Ft. Lauderdale and Phillip Bassignani and his wife Stephanie of Seward, Alaska. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Grace Rossetti of Medway and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Tillie Rossetti, her brothers Freddie and Robert Rossetti and her sister-in-law Lillian Rossetti. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Monday, February 5 at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Mrs. Bassignanis memory may be made to St. Joseph Church, P.O. Box 557, Medway, MA 02053. So sorry for your loss.Marie was a sweetheart I have great memories of when we were young and neighbors your mom was always kind and loving.. Those few summers we vacationed together at the beach was great , for our parents too. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hugs and kisses to all. Charlie also sends his love he is currently in Medway Country Manor, he had to have his foot amputated, but is doing well.
