Marie C. Chisholm, formerly of Belmont, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by many of her family, August 19, 2011 in Kennebunkport, ME where she had summered for 40 years. Wife of the late William Chisholm, though she never had children, to her five nieces and nephews, thirteen grand nieces and nephews, and seven great grand nieces and nephews she was regarded as a second mother, grandmother, or great grandmother. She loved and doted on all of them and their friends. As a family friend said, "Aunt Marie seemed like everybody's aunt." Born in Cambridge, MA February 2, 1913 to Daniel and Rose Mulvihill, she was predeceased by her twin brother, John F. Mulvihill and her younger brother Edward L. Mulvihill. Known and beloved by her many friends simply as Marie, she had worked in the Middlesex County Court House for over 40 years and was befriended by attorneys and judges for her meticulous work. After living in Belmont for almost 75 years she relocated and spent her last years in Maine. Marie is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families: Judy Sullivan of Kennebunkport, ME, Gail Goodin of Greensboro, NC, James Mulvihill of Kennebunkport, ME, John Mulvihill of Drexel Hill, PA, and Tom Mulvihill of New Milford, CT. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish/St. Martha's Church, Route One, Kennebunk. Burial will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, MA.
