Anthony Charles Ferriero Chic, husband of Mary Louise (Thurston) Ferriero, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 19, 2012. Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Anthony P. and Marie (Toomey) Ferriero. Raised and educated in Beverly, he entered the United States Army in 1959 and served nine years, the last year in Vietnam. Upon his discharge he began his thirty year care at Varion Associates as an electronic technician, engineer and engineering manager. In his retirement years, he enjoyed part time employment at Lakeview Golf Club and Sun and Air Golf Range, and his long time membership at the Wenham Golf Club. In addition to his wife of 52 years, Tony is survived by his son Anthony Scott; his daughter: Kristen Ward and her husband James Ward; two grandsons: Lawrence Martin Ward and Aidan James Ward; his sisters: Marie A. Clarke, Kathleen Toni Ramos; his brother: David S. Ferriero; a nephew: Robert Clarke; and niece Shannon Lewis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Wednesday from 3 to 7 P.M. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Tonys Memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923 or the Beverly Vietnam Veterans, INC, 502 Cabot St., Beverly, MA 01923.
