Rita M. Leblanc Obituary
Rita M. Leblanc, 92, beloved wife of the late Robert J. LeBlanc, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House with family at her side. Born in Salem, she is the daughter of the late Aristide and Bertha (Desrosier) St. Pierre. Rita grew up in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. She was a devoted wife and mother. Rita was dedicated to giving her sons values and education, and worked diligently to support them throughout her life. She was a huge Boston College Fan, loved attending BC football games and watching all of the Boston sports teams on TV. She is the mother of Robert D. LeBlanc and his wife Margaret of Southport, NC; the late Richard R. LeBlanc and daughter-in-law Claire V. LeBlanc of Exeter, NH. She is the sister of Jeanette Darcy of FL and the late Mary Jane Maguire. She is the devoted friend of Yvonne G. LeBrun. She has five grandchildren: Chantal A. LeBlanc, Danielle A. LeBlanc, Richard R. LeBlanc, Robert J. LeBlanc and Ronald D. LeBlanc; several great grandchildren, great-great children, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly on Wednesday, April 2 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends were invited to attend. Visiting hours were at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, Tuesday from 4 to 7:30 P.M. Burial was in Central Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in Ritas Memory to The Robert J. LeBlanc Scholarship Fund for Football, Boston College Athletics, Conte Forum, Room 320, 140 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467, ATTN: Steve Novak, Athletic Director for Development.
