Mary L. (Rustermier) Martin, age 82, of Plaistow, NH, formerly of Lynn and of Bolton, MA, died Thursday morning at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. She was the wife of the late John H. Martin with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Sophia (Marx) Rustermier. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Lincoln, NE, class of 1948. She had lived in Lynn for 42 years and Bolton for 10 years. Mary had worked as a legal secretary for Neighborhood Legal Services in Lynn until her retirement. Her faith was very important to her and she enjoyed politics as well. She loved and treasured her family, especially her 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was an avid, knowledgeable sports fan. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She is survived by 8 children; John Martin and his wife Tanya Sagermann of Germany, Daniel Martin and Michael Martin, both of South Dakota, Mark Martin and his wife Karol Fitton of Plaistow, NH, Kevin Martin of Lynn, Timothy Martin and his wife Paula of Saugus, and Robert Martin and his wife Lorri of Raymond, NH; daughter, Joan Agretelis and her husband Nicholas of Bolton; her siblings; Margaret Sommer, Joan Journey and Thomas W. Rustermier; all of Lincoln, NE; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert and Bernard Rustermier. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30AM from the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn at 10:30AM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8PM.
