Mary Ann (Gagne) Dmytryck, born Dec. 24, 1932, in Millis, and married to Edward S. Dmytryck since September 1953, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at a Boston hospital, as a result of complications from a heart surgery. Mary Ann Dmytryck is predeceased by her mother, Winifred K. Clewes, formerly of Millis; her sister, Katherine Pruvot, formerly of Franklin; her daughter, Mary Jane Joyce, formerly of Florida; and her son, Gregory Stephen Dmytryck, formerly of Florida. Surviving loved ones include her husband, Edward, of 59 years, her sons, Jeffrey and Keith; and daughter, Elizabeth; as well as three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was a businesswoman and mother of five children. Mary Ann worked for the town of Millis as a police and fire dispatcher for 14 years, the water and sewer registrar for 10 years and the town of Norfolk Water Commissioner for six years. She obtained her real estate brokers license in 1967. Early in her real estate career, she managed the office of Richard Boomer of Boomer RE in Norfork, and then opened her own office, Pocasset Associates. Mary Ann maintained her real estate business until her retirement. She obtained her associate's degree in science from Dean College, Notary Public and maintained various executive positions within the Cape Cod and the Islands real estate board throughout her career. In retirement, Mary Ann remained active in her children and grandchildren's lives, enjoyed gardening and assisted her condominium association with their management needs.
