Diana Lynn Harpin

Diana Lynn (Kallio) Harpin, 54, a Westborough resident for 18 years and formerly of Acton, died peacefully Sat. May 5, 2012 at the Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester. Born in Concord and raised in Acton, she was the beloved daughter of the late Oiva "Kal" and Nancy J. (Bain) Kallio, and loving mother of son, Evan and daughter, Emma. A graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Class of 1975, Diana enjoyed a lifelong passion for music, drama and dance, from her active involvement in high school through her adult life in local theatre productions. She earned a bachelor's' degree from Lesley College in Cambridge, and was employed in international sales for Nova Biomedical, where she recently celebrated her 20th anniversary with the company. Her greatest love was time spent with her family and friends, and greatest source of pride her precious children. In addition to her children, she is survived by her much loved family: her sister Pam McKee and husband Jeff of Salem, her brother Kyle Kallio and wife Danielle of Ashburnham; nephews Kyle and Nicholas Kallio; aunts and uncles, William and Doris Bain of Hamilton, Lois and Richard Steele of Yarmouthport, and Vivien Kallio of Maynard; boyfriend Stephen Hull, and many cousins. She will also be missed by her beloved dog, "Abby." Visiting hours Friday, May 11 from 4-8pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Mass Ave (Rte 111) Acton, with funeral services to be held Saturday, May 12 at 1:30pm in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 3 John St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Parker St. (Rte 27) Maynard. Rev. Jesse Abell will officiate.
