Betty E. (Nolan) Eveland, 84, of Nashua, NH, formerly of Acton, MA and Littleton, MA passed away peacefully on June 9, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Baisel L. Eveland, with whom she was married for 30 years. She was the devoted mother of Richard F. Jackson of Ayer, MA, Mark F. Jackson and his wife, Susan, of Littleton, MA, and Shirley E. Smith and her husband, Michael, of Ayer, MA. She was the step-mother of Bradley Eveland and Stuart Eveland and his fiance, Julie Cauble of Harwich, MA. The sister of David W. Nolan and his wife Sandra, of Concord, MA, formerly of Acton, MA and the sister of the late Helen M. White and Frederick Nolan, Jr. She was the sister-in-law of Shirley and the late Carl Hinger of Gainesville, VA. She leaves 8 grandchildren, Katherine and Eric Jackson, Jason and Kristen Smith, Alexander and Andrew Eveland and Alyssa and Matthew Eveland. She was born in Concord, MA, the daughter of the late Frederick and Esther (McLaughlin) Nolan. She graduated from Concord High School in 1948 and was active in organizing the class reunions for many years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from New Hampshire College in 1984. She retired from Nuclear Metals, Inc, in 1993 after 24 years as their first female Vice-President of Human Resources. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Stars. She leaves many friends at The Huntington at Nashua, where she resided for the last 2 years. A Memorial Service will be held on June 28th at 11:00 a.m. at The Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bettys memory to the
