Brian M. McLaughlin, 40 years of age, entered Life Eternal at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (Lahey Clinic) in Burlington on Saturday, April 13, 2013, after a short illness. Brian was an Environmental Specialist and was employed in Norwood in that field. Brian was a graduate of Braintree High School and attended Suffolk University and Massasoit College where he studied Business Administration. He was a communicant of St. Clare Parish in Braintree and he had achieved the honor of Eagle Scout with Troop 138, Boy Scouts of America at the Church of St. Clare. He was a former Altar Boy at the Church of St. Clare. He was an avid fan of all Boston Major League Sports. Brian was the beloved son of Joseph F. McLaughlin, III and Janice M. (Gerstel) McLaughlin of Braintree. He was the loving brother of Brendan M. McLaughlin, Braintree Police Department married to Renee McLaughlin and Kevin T. McLaughlin companion of Dawn Florio of Plainville. He was the loving uncle of Brendan M. McLaughlin, Jr. and Ryan P. McLaughlin both of Braintree. He is survived by his aunts Nancy E. McLaughlin of Quincy and Charlene Brodin of Bourne. He was separated from Karen (Nadolny) McLaughlin of Sandwich. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St. on Thursday, April 18th from 4-8pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Friday, April 19th at 11:00 to be followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Clare, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree at 12:00 noon. Memorial Donations may be sent to Troop 138, Boy Scouts of America at the Church of Clare 1244 Liberty St. Braintree, MA 02184.
