Janice Ann (Cary) Lockwood, 73 years of age, entered life eternal at South Shore Hospital Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013. She was raised in Watertown and Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School. She had been a Braintree resident for the past 48 years. Janice was a homemaker devoted to her family especially her grandchildren. Janice received the benefits of faith as a parishioner of Saint Clare Parish in Braintree where she was a member of the Choir. Recently she had become a Red Sox enthusiast at a most opportune time. She was the loving wife of Alan H. Lockwood; and the mother of Brian P. Lockwood and his wife Kim of Norwell, Michele A. Columbine and her husband Robert of Senegal, West Africa, and the late Kevin M. Lockwood, who is survived by his wife, Julia of Holbrook. She was the loving and devoted Nana of Daniel, Matthew, Jonathan and Andrew Lockwood of Norwell and Grace and Faith Columbine of Senegal, West Africa, and Evan and Noah Lockwood of Holbrook. Janice is also survived by her sister, Donna Saunders of Brockton. Visiting hours were held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree, Friday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. A gathering was held at the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 26, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree Highlands, at 10 a.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
