Obituary Condolences

Lillian I. Annis, 91, of Braintree, formerly of Quincy and Boston, died Dec. 26, 2013. She was the wife of the late Fred G. Annis. Born in Boston, July 9, 1922, she was the second of six children born to the late George and Isabel (Hays) Herron. She was a longtime, active member of Christ Church, Episcopal, in Quincy, where she served on Womens Guild, Mothers Club, Wednesday Workshop and was always instrumental in helping to organize the Church Fair. She enjoyed gardening and knitting/crocheting items for her family and to benefit the Church Fair. She was the mother of Mark F. Annis and his wife Terry of Middleboro, Carol I. Thompson and her husband Kenyon of Weymouth and Ruth Fink and her husband John of Brockton. She was the sister of the late George and Donald Herron, Priscilla Delaney and Muriel McCrady. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved church family at Christ Church. Visiting hours were held Monday Dec. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy Center. Funeral was Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Christ Church, 12 Quincy Ave., Quincy, MA 02169. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
