Nancy Grace Capron passed away March 30, 2013. Born in Dorchester, April 29, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Stuart Cleaveland Capron and Linnea Nelson Capron. She attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1954. She later moved to Braintree where she was active in the First Congregational Church and sang in their choir. She was active in the Braintree Historical Society and the Viking Club. For many years, Nancy worked in the loan department at New England Merchants National Bank in Boston and after retirement drove a school bus in Braintree. She enjoyed travel, fishing, gardening, bowling and badminton, and her pet lab "Duke." She leaves her brother, Stephen, and sister-in-law, Rhoda Capron of Nottingham, N.H.; her niece, Molly Capron; and great-nephews, Jacob and Samuel in Seattle; her nephew, Seth Capron; and great-niece, Petra Louise Capron of Chicago; and many friends and neighbors in Braintree and around New England. Visiting hours were held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree, Thursday, April 4, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service was held at the First Congregational Church, 12 Elm St., Braintree Square, Friday, April 5, at 2 p.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to the Mass. Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
