Robert J. Madden Obituary
Robert J. Madden, 53 years of age, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 after a brief illness. He was born in Boston. He graduated from Braintree High School, Class of 1977. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the Pneumatic Scale Corporation in Quincy as a machinist until the company moved to Germany in 1996. Then he worked for the Bird Machine Shop in Walpole. He was a machinist for more than 25 years. He has been a yoga instructor for Open Doors of Braintree for the last six years. Bob was a classic car enthusiast and he restored a 1966 Ford Fairlane sedan. He enjoyed hiking with members of his family. He is the loving father of Timothy W. Madden and Abigail V. Madden both of Fort Mill, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of Queenie (Kochakian) Madden of Braintree and the late Joseph R. Madden. He is survived by his former wife Dorothy J. Madden-Mahoney. He was the brother of Kenneth R. Madden of Braintree and Eileen V. Baldwin married to Michael Baldwin of Plymouth. He was the uncle of Christie Farina, Joseph Farina, and Michael Baldwin Jr., all of Plymouth. Visiting hours were held at the Mortimer N. Peck | Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree, Tuesday, July 24. A private funeral service was held Wednesday at the funeral home conducted by the Reverend Scott Killian, pastor of the South Congregational Church, South Braintree.
