Samuel Solomon Jr. of Braintree, died May 4, 2013, with family at his side. He was the loving father of Kim A. Sullivan and her husband Donald, Craig S. Solomon and his wife Donna, and Jason J. Solomon and his wife Amy; beloved husband of Darlene R. Solomon; and stepfather to her three children, James M. Bradick, Nicole C. and Kathleen E.A. LaGrasso; adoring brother of Lorraine Hayes, Dale Campbell, Robert, Gerald, and Richard Solomon and the late James and Albert Solomon and Marion Armstrong; husband of the late Margaret R. Solomon. Also survived by longtime trusted friend, Edward "Spike" Cave and his wife Margaret; nine loving grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a painter for many years for the Polaroid Corporation. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and also cooking. Samuel also cherished the time spent with his family and grandchildren. He was also a veteran serving with the U.S. Navy. Visiting hours were Wednesday, May 8, 4-8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. Funeral services were celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
