Dominic A. Romano Obituary
Dominic A. Romano of Braintree, died April 9, 2014, at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of Flavia (Venuto) Romano; loving father of Ann Antonelli of Braintree, Cathy Casey and her husband Jim of Braintree, Daniel Romano and his wife Anne of Hanover and the late Dominic A. Romano Jr.; dear grandfather of Audra McDonough and her husband Mac, Dominic Antonelli and his wife Amy, Frank Antonelli, Derek Duval, Jimmy Casey, Joseph and Danielle Romano; great-grandfather of Tristan McDonough and Dominic Antonelli Jr.; devoted brother of Daniel Romano of Dorchester. Dominic was born in Boston and had lived in Braintree for over 60 years. He had worked for the Stride Rite Shoe in Boston for 20 years and had worked for the Town of Braintree Highway Dept. and U.S. Postal Service South Postal Annex Boston. Dominic was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the D.A.V. Braintree. Dominic will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Reposing was at the Cartwright-Venuti Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree, until 9:45 a.m. Saturday, April 12, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Visiting hours were Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph. Memorial contributions may be made in Dominics name to the American 300 5th Ave. Waltham, MA 02451.
