Poulin, Philbert L. - Bridgewater  
Philbert L. Poulin, of Bridgewater, died at the Hannah B. G. Shaw Home in Middleboro at the age of 91. Phil was born and raised in New Bedford, son of the late Annie (Meggs) and Philibert Poulin. After receiving an education in electrical engineering, he was appointed Utilities Director at the Newport Naval Base. Years later, Phil retired as Chief Engineer at the Paul A. Dever School in Taunton at the age of 74. During his long career, he remained in Bridgewater living in the same home with his family for 50 years. Phil was also an Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the 10th Armored Division and taking part in the Battle of Bastogne. Husband of the late Catherine (Kilbridge) and Theresa (Poirier) Poulin. Father of Dianne McCabe and her husband Steve of Assonet, Carol Costello and her husband Bob of Carver, Jane Yancey and her husband Rick of California, Brian Poulin of Harwich, Joseph Poulin and his wife Caroline of South Carolina and Mary Price and her husband John of Taunton. Grandfather of Cliff and Tracy Weber, Molly McCabe, Kaitlyn Costello, Juliana, Emily and Mary F. Price, Joseph Jr. and Catherine Poulin. Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater Wednesday, June 1, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday, May 31, from 5 - 8 p.m. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford, Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Hannah B.
