Lillian P. Stankus

Lillian P. Stankus, of East Bridgewater, died peacefully on Feb. 28, at the age of 80. Lillian was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Bushnauskus and grew up in South Boston. She was a graduate of South Boston High School, Class of 1950 and later married Guy C. Marino on Sept. 4 1955. They raised their family in South Boston until moving to East Bridgewater in 1974. Guy passed away unexpectedly in 1977 and Lillian remarried was later remarried to George L. Stankus. She worked for the Boston Insurance Agency and then in quality control for Mueller Corp. Lillian enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, listening to country music, and watching a lively soccer match or musical. She loved her children very much. Lillian was the beloved mother of Paul G. Marino of East Bridgewater and Linda E. Fowler and her husband Tim of East Bridgewater. Friends and family were invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater on Tuesday, March 5, for a visitation period from 4 - 7 concluded by a funeral home service at 7 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
