Anna L. (Galligan) Barakauskas, 91, a longtime resident of Brockton, recently of Bridgewater, died Nov. 29, 2012, at New England Sinai Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Brockton, a daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Whitten) Galligan, she had lived most of her life in Brockton before moving to Bridgewater in 1995. Anna worked at M.B. Claff Co. prior to her retirement. She was a longtime communicant of St. Casimirs Church, having celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary on May 9, 1993, prior to Mr. Barakauskas death. Anna was the widow of Bronis Barakauskas; beloved mother of Paul J. Barakauskas and his wife Donna of Bridgewater; sister of Dorothy (Galligan) Easton of Georgia and the late Frank, Robert, William, Harold and Margaret Galligan, Evelyn Lewis, Florence Clark and Phyllis Browne; grandmother of Brian D. Barakauskas and Kevin P. Barakauskas; great-grandmother of Nikki A. Barakauskas and Paul A. Barakauskas, all of Louisville, Ky.; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was also step-grandmother of Robert Chipoli of Norton, Christopher Chipoli of Los Angeles, Jason Chipoli of Windermere, Fla., and step-great-grandmother of David Pensinger of Bridgewater, Nina and Joseph Chipoli of Norton and Lily Chipoli of Windermere, Fla. Calling hours were Dec. 2, 1-4 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton.
