Obituary Condolences

Barbara D. (Dexter) Ginn, 97, of West Bridgewater, died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at the Braemoor Nursing Home in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Ginn. Born Oct. 4, 1915, in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Elsie (Crossman) Dexter. Barbara was a graduate of Taunton High School and continued on to secretarial school. She had worked as the office manager at the former White Star Laundry in Brockton and worked at the former ABCO Camping Distributors in East Bridgewater. She was a member of the Grange, both local and state, holding many offices throughout the years. She served as a member on the West Bridgewater Finance Committee for many years and was also an active member of the First Church in West Bridgewater. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and Mahjong. She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Turner and her husband John of West Bridgewater; a son, Edward Ginn and his wife Deborah of Middleboro; three granddaughters, Dawn Peterson and her husband Brent, Jennifer Ginn and Christine Cronin and her husband Scott; and a sister, Muriel Conroy of Arlington. A graveside service was held for family and friends Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater. Visitation was omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the First Church, 29 Howard St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
