Clement Roque of Bridgewater passed away April 19, at the age of 82. He was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater growing up on the family farm on Plymouth St. He graduated from Bridgewater Academy in 1946 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Clement worked in construction for Gerald Kelliher of Brockton, R.J. Gabriel of Bridgewater, and A. Bellioli & Sons, from whom he retired in 1995. Clement loved to travel to New Hampshire for camping trips with his family and also loved a good party. He was known as the cherry man by his friends and family. Clement could always be seen with his tools on his way to help a friend in need. He was the loving husband of 58 years of Mary (Connolly) Roque of Bridgewater. Loving father of Kathie Barbieri and her husband Richard of Plymouth, James Roque and his wife Carol of Bridgewater, Stephen Roque and his wife Dianna of Berkley, Patricia Leite and her husband Keith of East Taunton and Thomas Roque of Bridgewater. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Madeline Moore, Emily Stone, Adeline Ziino, Virginia Duarte and Richard Roque, all of Bridgewater and Tina Kempf of Easton. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters Mary Braga, Ann Abati, John Roque, Robert Roque and Joseph Roque. He also leaves his grandchildren Ashley, Jimmy, Danny, Brandon, Lisa, Christina, Jennifer, many great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family were invited to a funeral home service at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater Monday, April 23 at 10 a.m., followed by a burial with Military Honors at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
