Donald F. Wheeler, of Bridgewater, age 59, died on Nov. 22, 2013 surrounded by his family.Don was the son of the late John and Catherine (Lawton) Wheeler. He grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of Blue Hills Regional Vocational High School, Class of 1972. Don was a master electrician and later went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. Don married his highschool sweetheart Lois (Courtney) and the two raised their family in Bridgewater. Don worked for Allegheny Ludlum in New Bedford as an Associate Maintenance Supervisor and later for Tribe Mediterranean Foods in Taunton as a plant electrician. Don was a huge fan of the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed puttering in his garage and doing home projects. Most important to Don was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lois M. Wheeler of Bridgewater and his devoted children Dawn M. Wheeler and her fianc Nicholas Swieder of Ashland, Patrick F. Wheeler and his wife Courtney of Worcester and Scott T. Wheeler of Bridgewater. Brother of John Wheeler of N.H., Mary Cormier of Rockland, James Wheeler of Easton, Catherine Wheeler of Randolph and Joan Sullivan of Hanover. Don is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Funeral was from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basils Chapel, Park St. (BSU) Bridgewater at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
