Obituary Condolences

Frances (King) Tyler of Bridgewater, formerly of Quincy, died April 8, 2013. Wife of William J. Tyler for 57 years, she was the loving mother of Lynda McKeen and her husband Paul of Stoughton; stepmother of Judith Boucher and her husband Robert of Stoughton; Sharyn Meehan and her husband Thomas of Hooksett, N.H., Deborah Tyler of Canton and Stephen Tyler and his wife Jill of Omaha, Neb. Also survived by grandchildren, Andrew McKeen of Mansfield, Brendan, Alexander, and Tessa of Stoughton. Also living are sisters, Kathleen Cullen of Quincy, Edna Loan of Townsend, Elizabeth Connors and her husband William of Billerica; and brother, Clifford King and his wife Loretta also of Billerica. A graduate of Lexington High School in 1953, Frances took pride in being a past chairperson of Wollaston Mother's Club and she was active with Girl Scouting. She enjoyed cooking and was highly skilled in ceramic pottery and oil painting. Since 1981, she courageously fought Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's disease but at the last cancer furiously attacked. She was comforted from the itching and intense pain by the LifeCare of West Bridgewater and the Old Colony Hospice nursing staff. On April 8, 2013, death intervened in its peculiar form and offered everlasting relief. A funeral service was held in the Prophett, Chapman, Cole and Gleason, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours were Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
