Marian J. Petronelli

Marian J. Pat (Gorman) Petronelli, aged 84 years, of Bridgewater, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 15, 2011, in Sandwich. She was the wife of boxing trainer Guerino Goody Petronelli. Pat spent half her entire life serving the Lord. Through teaching, tithing, and telling everyone she came in contact with to do the same. Her passion in life was spreading the word of God to all. Pat was the inspiration and source of encouragement in founding and the development of Shepherds Path Christian Childcare Center, Middleboro, where more than 1,000 children have passed through its doors. Pat has also supported many Christian projects in the United States and overseas, through generous gifts and support through prayer. In addition to her husband of 67 years, she is survived by three children; sons, Paul Joseph Petronelli and his wife Kate, David Petronelli and his wife Denise, daughter, Carrie Petronelli, also survived by 5 grandchildren, Dusty Lewis, Jesse Petronelli, Paul Petronelli, Timothy Petronelli, and Tanya Kervic, 7 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours was held on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
