Morrison, Robert Alexander The Mayor of Harvard Ave. of North Hill, Needham formerly of Brookline on January 2, 2014. Born in County Down, No. Ireland on July 17, 1923 he immigrated to his mothers sisters home in Brookline. He was a Graduate of Brookline High School; Northeastern University and Staley College of the Spoken Word, where he earned a Master Degree; he also earned a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University in 1959. Robert served in the U.S. Army Infantry 1st Div. from 1943 | 1945 where he earned several medals including a Bronze Star. A member of the Beth-horan lodge of Masons which met in Brookline. He spent his life in the helping professions, he spent twenty five years in N.Y. finally retiring to Brookline. After retiring, he taught in the ESL program in the Park Street Church to Foreign College students for twenty years. Bob is survived by his sister Sarah Isobel Morrison of Ireland and many extended family members in the United States and Ireland. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday in the Bell-ODea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St. Brookline from 11:00AM | 1:00PM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment Walnut Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Park St. Church, 1 Park St., Boston, MA. 02108 would be appreciated.
