Bonomi, Greta L.  
Greta L. (Carlson) Bonomi, of Holbrook, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully March 24, 2015 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of over 60 years to Bennie Bonomi. Loving mother of Bennett T. Bonomi and his wife Ann of FL, Rena M. Bonomi of Holbrook, and Lisa F. Stern and her husband Jay of AZ. Sister of the late Ingrid Argeris and MaryAnn Keene. Dear grandmother of Brian and his wife Robin, Eric and Kyle Bonomi, and Leah and Jonathan Stern. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Greta was born in Quincy where she grew up and graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1949. She was a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church, Quincy. She devoted herself to her family and made them her lifes great work. She enjoyed and excelled at knitting, needle work, playing the piano, cooking and baking. Ballroom dancing was a favorite activity for her and Bennie. She loved working as an executive secretary at Boston Mutual Life Insurance Co., Canton, MA, where she retired after 15 years. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 68 So. Franklin St., Holbrook MA 02343. Funeral services were held in Faith Lutheran Church, 201 Granite St., Quincy, MA 02169 Saturday March 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours were Friday March 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Carter, Polly  
Polly Vanek Carter, born Feb. 22, 1927, died peacefully March 23, 2015, in Randolph. She is survived by daughter, Mary Lee and son-in-law, Francis of Randolph; grandchildren, Christina and husband Scott of Carver, Christopher and wife Kathleen of Brockton; great-grandchildren, Myranda, Jessica, Kasey and Lexi of Carver, Christopher Jr. and Shaunna of Brockton, Aimee of Brockton and Justice of Fall River; and great great-grandson, Leland of Fall River. Also survived by her brother, Lee and his wife Jan; sister, Nancy, all of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. She was a professor at Arizona University, then Wellesley College and went on to teach at Milton High School. Educating teenagers and young adults was her passion and she did it patiently and well. She was highly awarded in her field.

Chafe-Wood, Helen M.  
Helen M. (Smith) Chafe-Wood, of Randolph, formerly of Braintree, passed away March 21, at the age of 86. Born in Boston, Helen was raised and educated in Quincy, and lived in both Randolph and Braintree for many years. She was a retired RN. Helen was a member of the womens singers group Sweet Adelines, and enjoyed reading, knitting, baking, and was an organist and played piano. Beloved wife of the late Guy Wood and late Cyril Chafe. Loving mother of Eugene Chafe and his wife Lori of Wash., Lawrence Chafe and his wife Sharon of Vt., Mary Ellen Steeves and her husband Gary of Sandwich, and Cyril Chafe and his wife Carol of Braintree, Karen Foster and her late husband James of Randolph, Sandie DiBlasi and her husband David of Holbrook, and Guy Wood and his wife Elaine of N.H., and the late Paul Chafe and Christie Nickerson. Devoted sister of Carol Jackson and her husband Charlie of Ariz. Also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Closson, Robert W.  
Robert W. Closson, age 81, of Canton, formerly of Brockton, passed away March 12, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he was raised in Brockton and went to Farm & Trade School on Thompson Island. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and the Merchant Marines. He played the saxophone in the National Guard Band and attended Firefighters School while in the Merchant Marines and also graduated from the Peterson School of Steam Engineering. He owned and operated a Dry Cleaners in Dorchester and later worked for FM Generator in Canton. He was a talented artist and was a member of the Canton Art Assn. and many of his works were in local art shows. He also painted at an art studio in Stoughton and where he took art lessons. He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hiker and backpacker. Beloved husband of the late Anna M. (Cappelletti), he was the father of Helen Andrews and her husband Robert of Brockton, Christina Closson-Breese, Patricia Closson and Virginia Smith and her husband Robert all of Whitman, RoseAnn Closson of Randolph, Mary Jensen of S.C. and the late Joseph Closson. Sister of Eudivilia Mahon of S.C. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Hope A. (Gleason) DeCaprio, of Randolph, passed away March 18, at the age of 90. Born, raised, and educated in Quincy, Hope graduated from North Quincy High School in 1943. She worked at Radio Shack in Randolph for many years. Hope enjoyed ballroom dancing, art, ocean cruises with friends, and was a member of St. Marys Choir. Beloved wife of the late Alfred DeCaprio, she was the loving mother of David DeCaprio of Alaska, Susan DeCaprio of Randolph, Debra Gove and her husband Larry of Randolph, and Chris DeCaprio of Boston; dear Nana of Natalia Wood and her husband James; and great-grandmother of Giavanna; devoted sister of the late John, Richard, and Frederick Buddy Gleason. Funeral was from the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Marguerite S. Kiki (Godfrey) Flaherty, of Holbrook, formerly ofAvalon, NJ, passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness on March 24, 2015, at the age of 82. Born and raised in Wildwood, NJ, Marguerite settled in Holbrook, where she and her late husband, William raised their family. For several years, Marguerite worked as a secretary at a Brockton Day Care Center. A woman with many passions, she was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, she loved to spend time at the beach and go boating, she played the organ and loved Irish music and she especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home around the holidays. Marguerite will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Marguerite was the wife of the late William R. Flaherty. Loving mother of Michael Flaherty of Holbrook, Stephen Flaherty and his wife Julie of Braintree and Kathleen Tocci of Lunenburg. Dear Nana to Jenn, Joseph, Christopher, Olivia and Benjamin and great-grandmother to Tyler, Alexis and Danica. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Goulston, Miriam L. - Stoughton  
Miriam Leslie Goulston of Stoughton, entered into rest March 18, 2015. Dear daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Rice) Goulston, she was the devoted mother of Rachel Elizabeth Goulston; loving sister of Sandra Goulston, Stephen and his wife Patricia Goulston and Emily Goulston; cherished aunt of Ava, Paul and his wife Erica and Maxwell Goulston. Miriam was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1978, earned a BS in psychiatry at Boston University in 1983 and attained a masters degree in Social Work from Florida International University. Services were held at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington St., Canton, Friday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m. Memorial observance was at the home of Stephen and Patricia Goulston following burial on Friday. Hurley, John T. - Stoughton  
John T. Hurley, of Stoughton, 79, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at his home after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Charlotte C. (Dors) Hurley. Born in Readville, he was raised in Milton and was a graduate of St. Anns School, Boston College High School and Boston College. Mr. Hurley was a former member of the Army National Guard. He was the owner of John Hurley Landscaping, a company he founded in college and for which he worked for over 60 years. He enjoyed spending his winters in Port Charlotte, Fla. and his summers in Old Orchard Beach, Maine for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time at the beach, listening to Irish music and tending to his flower garden. Mr. Hurley is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Hurley of Stoughton and Susan Hurley of Canton. He was the longtime companion of Patricia Derba of Stoughton. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Matthew Hurley and Jake Hurley and his cousin William Berry of Hyannis and many nieces and nephews. Anne T. (Lynch) Joyce of Randolph, formerly of Dorchester and Kilcatherine, Eyeries, Co. Cork, Ireland, passed away March 21, 2015, at the age of 79. She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick J. Sonny Joyce; loving mother of Anne T. Crowley and her husband John of Co. Cork, Ireland, Noreen Maloney and her husband Stephen of Braintree, Mary Joyce of Braintree and Kathy Joyce of Randolph; daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Harrington) Lynch; devoted sister of Patrick Lynch of So. Boston, John Lynch of England, Mary OMahony of England, Joseph Lynch of Needham, the late Michael and Brendan Lynch; dear Grandma of Daragh, Aine, and Nessa Crowley all of Ireland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anne was born and raised in Co. Cork, Ireland, and came to the United States at the age of 20. She had lived in Dorchester for several years before moving to Randolph in 1970. She enjoyed playing bingo, trips to Foxwoods and traveling back to Ireland. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Irish Music Club of Quincy.
