Howard F. Shea, age 87, of Canton, passed away at Norwood Hospital, Dec. 5, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Haverhill, he graduated from Haverhill Trade School. He previously lived in Lowell and had lived in Canton since 1974. He was a former executive with E G & G in Bedford and owned Ryan Iron Works in Raynham from 1973 to 2010. He summered in Chatham and was an avid boater. He was the beloved husband of Rita H. (Archambault). Father of Howard Shea, Jr. and his wife Sharon of N.H., Carol Tremblay and her husband Mike of Lowell, Sue Gonsalves and her husband Gary of Franklin, Dan Shea and his wife Kathy of Raynham and John Shea and his wife Katy of Taunton. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Visiting hours were at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St., Canton, Sunday, Dec. 8, 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, Canton, Monday morning at 10. Burial private. Donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimers Assn., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
