Patricia Caregeorges Farfaras Vangel FitzGerald, 82, of Alpine TX (formerly of Canton MA and Tamarac FL), died from complications of Alzheimer's disease on April 28, 2012, in Ballinger TX. Patty was born in Lawrence, MA, to Paul and Angela Caregeorges. She was a beautician and owned Pat's Hair Fashions in Canton, MA, for 30 years. She was an accomplished tenpin bowler and golfer. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Vangel (MA); daughters Margaret Litterio (MA), Linda MacDonald (TX) and Stephanie Lambert (ME). Her son, David Alexander Vangel, died in 1994. She also leaves behind her sister Anna Wood (MA), brother George Farfaras (MD), sister Stella Mercina Caregeorges (NM), sister-in-law Dorothy Rosales (MA), plus grandsons, a great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews. In Patty's memory, donations may be made to Hospice of Ballinger, 112 S. 7th Street, Suite 2, Ballinger TX 76821. Rosary & Wake Service were on April 30 at Heritage Family Funeral Home, Ballinger, TX. Eastern Rite Catholic Funeral Mass will be said by Rev. Robert Parent in Lewiston, Maine. Traditional Roman Catholic burial service at Holy Angels Cemetery, Alpine, TX was on May 1.
