Bruce A. Wakelin of Carver, formerly of Whitman and Westwood, died unexpectedly May 8. He was the loving husband of Virginia L. (Farley) Wakelin; loving father of Timothy A. Wakelin of Carver and Lisa W. Nasanofsky and her husband Allan of Randolph; beloved brother of Dianne W. Mahoney of Dennis, Robert Wakelin of Braintree, Steven Wakelin of Abington and Mark Wakelin of Braintree; cherished grandfather of Isabella Nasanofsky and Danni Lynn Caron. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Boston, Oct. 27, 1949, son of the late Chester and Marion (Schroder) Wakelin, he was educated in the Westwood schools and attended Blue Hills Regional Technical School. He was a machinist for Capeway Welding in Plymouth. Bruce loved classic cars, oldies music, and trying to watch every program on television, thirty seconds of each at a time. Visiting hours were held at Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Monday, May 13, from 4-7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. Cremation will follow in Vine Hills Crematory.
