Doris M. (Akerley) Donaher, of Carver, April 17, 2013 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Bernard Bucky Donaher and former wife of the late Donald Magnussen. Loving mother of Lynne Letendre and her husband Bill of Taunton, Diana Charland of Marion, Robin Clark and her husband Tim of Weymouth and the late Laurie Magnussen. Stepmother of Stephen Donaher and his wife Peg of Plymouth. Dear grandmother of Danielle Waskiewicz, Jessica Hammond, Joseph Hammond -USN, Paul and Christopher Charland and Caitlin Poulin. Step grandmother of Stephen, Patrick and Matthew Donaher. Great-grandmother of Sam Waskiewicz, Neveah Charland, Lacey Hammond and Lucas Santiago. Mrs. Donaher was a long time member of the United Church of Christ in Randolph, Ladies Benevolent Society and Keturah Circle and a member of So. Meadow Village Association. Square Dancing was a big part of her life. She belonged to Island Allemanders, Happy Squares, Square Saints, Buckaroos and Hobo Mock Hoe Downers. She was a life member of the N.E. Square Dance Foundation and with her husband a member of the Square Dancer Foundation Hall of Fame. Born in Boston, attended schools in Dorchester and graduated from the Stetson High School in Randolph Class of 1951. Doris was a bookkeeper for Ashmont Motors and Pearl Street Motors. She also worked at Myers Tire Supply in Randolph and Kartens Jewelry in Braintree. She loved square and round dancing, swimming, bowling, shopping and her beloved family. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main Street, Randolph. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Visiting hours were Sunday, April 21, from 2 | 4 and 7 | 9 p.m. Burial in Braintree Cemetery, Braintree.
