Francis A. Franny Bryan, 63, of South Meadow Village in Carver, died May 4, 2013, after a long brave battle. He is now at peace. Oldest son of Matthew Obie and Lillian (Belcher) Bryan of Hemet, Calif., he was born in Weymouth, raised in Rockland, and graduated from Rockland High School in 1967. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was employed as an aerospace engineer. Franny was a dedicated family man and enjoyed golf, fishing, and boating. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Franny was the beloved husband of Tricia (Murphy) Bryan for 44 years; loving father of Debbie Hanson (and Rick) of Nashua, N.H., Dennie Townsend (and Jim) of Brookline, N.H., and Chrissy Parent (and Scott) of Arizona; devoted Papa of Ricky, Allie and Megan Hanson, Vickie and Matt Harmon, Katie Townsend and Scott, Kaila and Kendra Parent; brother of Dick Bryan (and Ann) of Holbrook, Carol Johnsen (and Glen) and Kathy Small, all of California; a nephew, uncle and cousin of many.
