Marshall R. Ball, age 90, of Carver, formerly of Mendon, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Buzzards Bay. He was born in Framingham, the son of the late Walter and Bessie (McBurnie) Ball. For over three years, Marshall served his country in the U.S. Army Airforce during World War II. He was also an avid Red Sox fan. Marshall was the beloved husband of the late Mary C. (Dillon) Ball. He is survived by loving cousins and dear friends. A visitation period was held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rte. 58), Carver, Monday, July 1, 2013, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment services with military honors was held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Bennington Boulevard, Bourne, at 12:45 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to The Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
