Robert "Bob" Richard McLaughlin, of Carver, died April 13, 2010. Born Jan. 14, 1949, he was a son of the late Robert J. and Lucy (Salerno) McLaughlin. Robert was an accomplished and talented man who loved to play his guitar, sing, ride his Harley to the ocean and to be surrounded by the ones he loved. An avid sailor and extremely artistic craftsman, he served the U.S. Navy and graduated from the University of Maine. He proudly worked as a Union carpenter for 29 years. He will be sincerely missed. He was the loving husband to Linda L. (Herbert) McLaughlin; devoted father to Kerry Ann (McLaughlin) Cragin and Robert Richard McLaughlin II; fun loving grandfather to Kassidey Star Cragin and Nirvana Storm Cragin; brother of Rosemary (Shires), James, Richard, Paul, John and Michael McLaughlin; great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews; and loving friend to so many. A graveside service was held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, April 19. Arrangements were made by the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver.
