Matthew J. Dedinsky, 25, a longtime resident of Chelmsford died unexpectedly Saturday, October 6th, 2012 He was born in Boston on August 20, 1987, and was the beloved son of Joseph J. and Judith B. (Belt) Dedinsky of Chelmsford. He received his education in Chelmsford and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School, class of 2006, where he was a member of the swim team. He was currently a student at University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Matt was longtime member of Boy Scout Troop 75 in Chelmsford and had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. In his free time he loved to be outdoors and enjoyed swimming, hiking, and all kinds of water sports and winter sports. He also enjoyed reading and listening to music. In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by his aunts and uncles; John and Elaine Dedinsky of Chelmsford, Barbara and Mark Dempsey of Stratford, CT; Barbara Jean Belt and Jim Bonnette of Tompson, CT, Stephen Warner Belt and Pauline Ward Belt of Cortland, NY, and Phyllis Morgan Belt of Tompson, CT; and many cousins and friends. It being the familys wish, there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Matts memory to The Jimmy Fund, C/O Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
